Katy Perry's 'Roar' Knocks Out Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' from the #1 Spot

Robin Thicke's over-played summer anthem "Blurred Lines" enjoyed a solid 12-week run atop the Billboard Hot 100. But with the start of September and summer's near end, it seems only fitting that a new track should be crowned
Enter Katy Perry, who has managed to dominate Thicke's controversial track and rise to the #1 spot with her latest single "Roar." For context, the Prism single is Perry's 8th song to top the Hot 100 in 2013, and is the first #1 single since "Part of Me." These stats are not too shabby given that her third album has yet to drop.
